FNB Zambia and Airtel Mobile Commerce Launch Groundbreaking Mobile Money on POS Solution
In a landmark move for the country’s digital finance sector, FNB Zambia and Airtel Mobile Commerce Ltd have launched the Mobile Money on POS solution, a first-of-its-kind partnership that allows Airtel Money customers to make direct payments from their mobile wallets at any FNB Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal nationwide.
The collaboration represents a major step toward interoperability between banking and mobile money ecosystems, creating a seamless, secure, and cashless transaction experience for consumers and merchants alike. Through this integration, customers can now use their Airtel Money wallets to make instant, cardless payments for goods and services directly at FNB POS terminals—bridging traditional banking infrastructure with digital financial solutions.
