The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Mali has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the digital transformation of higher education following a high-level meeting between Minister Bourema Kansaye and Leyti N’Diaye, Director General of Orange Mali.
The meeting, held as part of a courtesy visit, provided an opportunity for the minister to congratulate N’Diaye on his recent appointment while highlighting the strategic role of Orange Mali in driving the country’s digital development. He also praised the long-standing collaboration between the ministry and the company, particularly through initiatives led by the Orange Mali Foundation, which have supported education and training efforts.
During the discussions, both parties reaffirmed their willingness to deepen cooperation to strengthen Mali’s higher education and research ecosystem. Key focus areas included improving university connectivity, accelerating the digitalisation of higher education systems, and expanding access to digital learning resources such as online libraries.
