Google Cloud Debuts Specialized AI Agents for Financial Services and Legal Industries

Google Cloud has launched the first two offerings in what is to be a series of agentic artificial intelligence solutions that are designed for specific industries and built on top of the Gemini Enterprise platform.

The first two solutions are for the financial services industry and the legal industry.

Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services is initially available in preview for the capital markets and corporate banking industries. It includes a Google-managed Financial Research agent, more than 50 new skills with specialized agentic instructions for financial roles and workflows, enterprise data connectors and a third-party agent ecosystem, Google Cloud said in a Tuesday (Aug. 25) press release.

The Financial Research agent can equip relationship managers and advisors with AI-generated insights, modernized onboarding and know your customer (KYC) workflows, perform complex bond portfolio risk exposure analysis, uncover credit market opportunities and compress client pitch presentation timelines, per the release.

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said in the release that Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services doesn’tlock users into one model or ecosystem, connects to the IT systems financial professionals use every day, and is highly secure and compliant.

Gemini Enterprise for Legal is initially available in preview for the legal industry and is designed to help legal teams automate legal workflows across practice areas. It includes specialized skills for lawyers, connectors to specialized legal systems and an expanding partner ecosystem of third-party agents, Google Cloud said in a Tuesday (Aug. 25) press release.

Gemini Enterprise for Legal automates and accelerates complex legal operations such as keeping legal and compliance teams ahead of global mandates, compiling personal data, accelerating contract review and negotiation, building and updating contracting playbooks, preparing court filings and drafting non-disclosure agreements, per the release.
