As we commemorate World Fintech Day, the Africa Fintech Network (AFN) is proud to partner with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Financial Innovation for Impact (Fii), and the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF), University of Cambridge, to convene a timely and thought-provoking discussion on the future of digital money across Africa.
Tokenised Money & Stablecoins in Africa will explore how digital assets are reshaping financial systems at a pivotal moment, as African countries advance digital asset frameworks alongside the implementation of the AfCFTA Digital Trade Protocol.
This high-level dialogue will examine the opportunities, challenges and policy choices that will influence the next generation of Africa’s financial infrastructure—from regulatory approaches and stablecoin adoption to local currency innovation and cross-border settlement across the continent.
