Borderless.xyz expands Africa stablecoin payment coverage

Borderless.xyz has integrated CrissCross into its network as a Partner Financial Institution (PFI), expanding stablecoin on/offramp coverage across Africa. The integration adds local depth to Borderless.xyz, giving its customers access to CrissCross corridors through their existing API connection.

Through this move, CrissCross’s corridors are available to all existing Borderless.xyz customers with no additional onboarding, contract negotiation, or API integration required. The joint network routes will allow Borderless.xyz customers into CrissCross’s corridors through a single integration.

African payment corridors are among Borderless.xyz’s most active routes, with South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana ranking among its top markets. CrissCross provides infrastructure for businesses trading across Africa, covering local collections, payouts, foreign exchange and treasury management.

CrissCross expands local payment access

CrissCross runs direct integrations into local bank networks and more than 15 mobile money operators, which is essential because in many African markets, mobile money functions as the primary banking system.

Its network covers 11 countries across Francophone West and Central Africa, running on operators in markets where most provider coverage stops at the border. CrissCross also operates a merchant-of-record model lets businesses operate across the region, and into Egypt and the UAE, without carrying local entity and licensing requirements themselves.
